here is an excerpt of my movement and dance training

purposeful activity

My classes consist of knowledge and experience I gained over my years of work as a professional dancer as well as my personal exploration of the body's physicality (including my interest in physiotherapy, Feldenkreis technique, and Sacro-Cranial therapy), movement interpretation and performance approach. The class takes a form of open training, which gives students space and time for independent practice, self -perfection and search for individual interests in motion. Even though the class has a very open and playful approach, it remains a highly precise and technical training.

The work, consist of exploration of different movement scores, where each of the scores has clearly highlighted parameters on which student focuses on. My intention is to direct students' attention to health factors of motion and understanding of efficiency and effectiveness of what they do, as a superior value in the creation of movements and dance (artistic choices). The tasks are created in ways to widen students' perception of their body, challenge their choices of movement compilations, improve the body's mobility and strength and enhance multiple foci.

Beside strong emphasis on movement technique, my class also includes different approaches for students to explore their imagination in relation to movement interpretation, expression and how it can be used in performance and instant composition aspects.

Moreover, I often use music form the 70’s, the ’80s, and dramatic 90’s as a soundscape for the class, and encourage students to be part of a culture that is conducive to continual progress, openness to dialog and sharing of ideas to contribute in everyone's learning and development.
